Maximize your potential

Why Do I Need Resilience Coaching?

Resilience is the ability to cope, adapt, and grow stronger in response to adversity, challenges, or stress.  A resilient person has the capacity to “bounce back” from difficulty and positively re-engage with life.  To be resilient is to embrace change, no matter the situation.

Resilience coaching helps you to develop habits that will empower you to:

  • Reframe a problem or situation by looking through an alternative, more positive lens.
  • Use the power of positive emotions to generate creative strategies to deal with disruptive life challenges.
  • Identify and use energizing values and strengths that will give you a greater sense of autonomy or control.
  • Become more optimistic and hopeful about the future.
  • Learn how to engage in well-being supports such as exercise, proper nutrition, positive social networks, and spiritual development.

Resilience coaching is a dynamic process through which you can experience profound insights and growth.  By taking a proactive approach to building resilience through coaching, you will strengthen personal well-being, improve your relationships, and increase workplace productivity and success.

Habitual Phoenix Coaching

Bonus - Ask Us About the Quenza App!

There are two parts to a coaching collaboration – the in-person or virtual session itself and the time in-between scheduled sessions when client learning is consolidated.  Recognizing this reality, Habitual Phoenix Coaching offers the Quenza positive psychology app as a personal support to clients with a three month or longer individual coaching contract.  Quenza allows you to access relevant worksheets, assessments, and inspirational materials that will accelerate your progress.  Use Quenza  to connect with your coach if you have a question, and seamlessly get your homework assignments through the app.  Ask us about the benefits of Quenza during your discovery call.

Investing in Resilience Coaching

We can tailor resilience training materials to suit your individual or organizational needs, including keynote talks, workshops, and team building exercises.  Coaching can be done in person at our Ailsa Craig studio for individuals or couples, at your work or workshop location for organizations, or virtually for your personal convenience.  When you book your discovery call, ask us about our affordable rates for coaching contracts of three months or longer. Below are currently offered workshops and key note talks that are designed to engage and inspire:

Realizing Resilience – A practical introduction to the topic of resilience in which participants will engage in a conversation on how to achieve well-being.  Participants will create a draft personal resilience plan.

Resilient Coupleship – An engaging three day workshop that offers you an engaging opportunity to authentically explore your romantic partnership. Dig deep into your habits, learn practical tools, and forge a renewed commitment to your significant other. Day 1explores individual growth and awareness; Day 2 focuses on how your respond to your partner; and Day 3 examines what makes a resilient partnership.

Resilience in the Age of Trump – Feeling anxious over what you see, hear, and read about in social media?  Our culture has felt the effects of an often toxic on-line environment.  Become more mindful by understanding the importance of three psychological needs – safety, satisfaction, and connection – and how you can reclaim attention as your resilience superpower.

Positive Parenting: Parents, Kids, and Smart Phones – Explore how smart phone usage has transformed how we communicate with one another – and not always for the better. Learn how you can become a better smart phone model for yourself, your partner, and your children.  Adopt a mindset that values human connection through single-tasking rather than multi-tasking.

Your Next Chapter: Creating a Positive Aging Plan – Worried about turning 30?40? 65?  Instead, how about claiming your best self at 90!  Too often the natural process of aging is seen as something to be feared, rather than as an opportunity for growth and renewed purpose.  Work with us to develop your personal positive aging plan.  Create a mindset that celebrates the possibilities that come with being a more optimistic, wiser, and healthier you.

Resilience and Spiritual Intelligence – Join us as we examine the concept of Spiritual Intelligence or SQ.  Inspired by the work of Howard Gardner, Daniel Goleman, and Cathy Wigglesworth, this workshop uses practical positive psychology exercises to grow and enhance  your spiritual self.

Resilience and Servant Leadership – Servant leadership is a values and strengths-based leadership approach that is centred on contribution, connection, and courage.  Critically, servant leaders create success through a moral vision that prioritizes both client satisfaction and employee well-being.  We discuss job-crafting as a potential servant leadership model for a flexible and productive workplace.

Finding Your Purpose through Ikigai – Are you uncertain about your career choice or do you feel your life lacks direction?  Then find your Ikigai (ee-key-guy), the Japanese concept of meaningful daily living.  Ikigai is found at the intersection of four essential elements – passion (what you love); mission (what the world needs); vocation (what you are good at); and profession (what you can be rewarded for).

Team Building Using Appreciative Inquiry (AI) – this workshop looks at the other AI – Appreciative Inquiry.  AI flips organizational attention from an analysis of past mistakes, to one that enables a team to embrace future possibilities for excellence. Discover how the Appreciative Inquiry model can be used to improve workplace cohesion and productivity.
